Who are we?

Hi, my name is Nate Franklin.

I am the new owner of Faster Hot Water, but I’ve been here since the beginning in 2010.

My Father, Mark, started this company after many years of being frustrated with how much water he was wasting just to get hot water. After researching ways to conserve HOT water and finding little to nothing, he decided to create something different and better, and better it was.

Using a stronger pump and high flow bridge valves was a huge benefit to performance and to top it off the kit was purely on-demand. No buttons or timers, it only runs when you tell it to.

I started out only packaging and shipping these kits, but it wasn’t long before I was at the design table with my father coming up with ways to improve the system and create new products. After shipping kits for the day, we would spend countless hours scouring the internet for better parts for the new devices. This was always my favorite part and I believe it was his too. Lots of long nights and lost weekends dedicated to making this the best product we could.

He had a background in Civil Engineering, and I had mechanical knowledge from having taken apart nearly everything I could get my hands on. Ever since I could hold a screwdriver I was disassembling and attempting to reassemble any and every mechanical or electrical component available. Many gadgets did not survive at first but eventually I figured out how to get them back together. This was a “skill” I undoubtedly inherited from my dad.

Fast forward to March of 2023, we received bad news. My Father had been diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer and this kind is un-treatable. I had already begun to take over so he could enjoy life a bit more outside of work, but this accelerated the process. He passed away July 28th, 2023. It’s strange not having him at the design table anymore but he taught me a lot about how his mind worked and how to exploit my own mind. I believe that he was the best teacher I could have had to set me up to run this business.

Faster Hot Water is not just a business to me but an extension of my father and myself. I know you will love our products because we put our heart and soul into what we do.
